Situated in Le Boulay-Morin, 7.7 km from Le CADRAN, Château du Boulay Morin features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. Coming up the driveway to the chateau, we were met by the beautiful surroundings and our host Philippine. The place is luxurious yet laid back. We came with our two children aged 2 and 5 who both had a blast playing in the park and swimming in the heated pool. Philippine was very helpful in showing us around the historic site (built by Louis XIV for his mistress), ordering food in french and giving us fantastic travel advice for our trip to Rouen the following day (restaurants, parking, attractions). The place certainly exceeded our expectations given the price, and we definitely recommend it! This hotel is not just a place to sleep, it is an attraction in itself.

Hotel la piscine has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and bar in Villers-sur-Mer. During our long first week-end trip with our 1,5 year toddler in a hotel, we were lucky to stay in a place where everybody feels welcome and can feel comfortable. The entire place was spotless clean so our little one could walk around without any issue. During 4 days we met great people, young and older couples, families. The owners and staff went above and beyond to help. This place is super inclusive and chill. We didn't use the pool but it looked perfect and the water was not cold at all ! There was also a sauna and petanque field. Games and books were available downstairs. All the time there was some good music playing on the terrace. We had dinner every night downstairs while our toddler was sleeping: tapas, amazing paella, tapas and planche, barbecue. And a new barman makes the most amazing, large and loaded cocktails. The bed was super comfortable and the apartment is well organised. The little kitchen came in handy. Everything was no nonsense but super comfortable into the details. This place is a hidden gem! Viihtyisä pikkukaupunki helmikuussa, kun turisteja ei vielä paljon ole. Historiasta kiinnostuneille oivallinen kohde, josta voi tehdä paljon retkiä mm. Normandian maihinnousun tapahtumapaikoille. Oma auto suositeltava, busseja rannoille ei pahemmin kulje. Itse kaupungissa pääsee kävellen kaikkialle.

Hotelli oli automatkailijan kannalta loistavalla paikalla. Suoraan hotellin edessä on edullinen parkkihalli (5-7€ per yö) ja muutenkin hotelli hyvällä paikalla Caenin nähtävyyksiä ajatellen. Hotellin siisteys ja huone ylittivät odotuksemme. Ranskalainen parveke oli plussaa. Caen toimi majapaikkanamme Normandian maihinnousupaikkoihin tutustumisellemme. Matkaa Omaha-beachille oli autolla noin puoli tuntia.

Hotelli oli todella siisti ja sijainti meille sopiva. Aamiainen oli herkullinen, kun saimme tuoretta patonkia / croisantteja yms. herkkuja kahvin kera. Henkilökunnalle arvosanaksi 10++! Loistavaa palvelua sekä omistajan pitämä opasretki Normandian rannikolle oli upea: huolella ja asiantuntevasti suunniteltu. Kiertoajelu läpi pienten kylien oli mahtava lisä opasretkelle! Vahva suositus hotellista!

A beautiful and historic building. It’s a small medieval labyrinth. Absolutely charming. And the breakfast was out of this world, absolutely fabulous. Staff was absolutely friendly and welcoming, even when most couldn’t speak English.

We loved our ocean facing room. Our second room was okay but across the building and down the hall. I was hoping to be closer to our second room (our kids are 8 and 13). We had to get 2 rooms because they didn’t have quads available. For Europe, the rooms were a good size. We were on the 6th floor and had a balcony off each room (please note they are lovely, but you can’t fit a chair on them like many balconies in Europe). Coffee was good and location is awesome. On the beach (you have to cross one road and you’re on the boardwalk). Every restaurant and cafe is walking s Distance and the Bac is just steps away. Beds were very comfortable. The older, stylish lady was lovely at every interaction at reception. She was very happy and helpful.

The beach was close less than 3 minutes walk from our room, they have different bindings and don’t have a beach view, only the Hotel Restaurant does. Everything else is a nice hotel, clean and comfortable good location.

The property was beautiful. There were acres for walking and bike riding. Our garden room had outdoor seating. there were many indoor rooms for relaxing or drinking. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast was outstanding. It has everything you could want to eat. The staff was all friendly.
